Malibu CA: Malibu SAR and LACO Fire personnel responded to a report of an injured 20-year old male climber in Malibu Creek State Park on Saturday. Upon arrival, rescue personnel determined that the injured climber was on the opposite side of the "Rock Pool". Malibu SAR deployed the team's inflatable boat and deployed it across the Rock Pool water area, transporting Malibu SAR and LACO Fire medics. Upon reaching the injured climber, rescuers packaged his broken leg, put him on a backboard in a rescue litter basket and then evacuated him in the boat. Upon reaching land, the victim was transported to an awaiting ambulance.
