Malibu CA: In the early morning hours Sunday, a 20 year old woman called 911 stating that she had just exited the 101 Freeway and was driving Southbound on Las Virgenes/Malibu Canyon when she suddenly careened over the side of Malibu canyon, a couple of miles North of Pacific Coast Highway. The caller didn't know her exact location but was able to give enough details to direct LACO Fire and Malibu SAR personel to her location. After locating the vehicle, fire and rescue team personel were lowered over the side of the canyon, packaged the injured woman for evacation by helicopter. The woman was taken to UCLA trauma center for treatment of her injuries.
