On Thursday night, a 21 year old female hiker in a nearby area of Mulholland Hwy and Las Virgenes, at Malibu Creek State Park. Malibu SAR responded and while en route was given GPS 911 coordinates as well as the cell phone number of the hiker. She was contacted and assessed to be uninjured but down a steep ravine with two dogs. Malibu SAR personnel advised her that we knew the general area where she was located and that if she saw or heard anyone she should use her cell phone to provide a lighting source to locate her.
